This allows for multi domain customization, customized mail routing, SMT callout and granularity of admin permission down to the end user. Cloud Email Server (POP)

Global Sense provides hosted POP email accounts for individuals and companies. We make use of MailEnable Enterprise to provide a reliable and feature rich solution incorporating spam filtering, fast webmail access, Out of Office auto responder amongst others. Prices: R25/mailbox or R425/domain. Contracts are on a monthly basis. No long term commitments.

Cloud Email Server (Exchange)

Through the Microsoft service provider licensing agreement Global Sense is able to provide hosted Exchange 2016 accounts at very competitive prices. The mailboxes are hosted on our multi-tenant servers and include all the product advantages provided by Exchange without the administrative burden of on-site deployments. The offering includes daily backups, spam and virus filtering, 20GB mailbox size. Prices: R69/mailbox ex VAT (20GB) R129/mailbox ex VAT (50GB) Contracts are on a monthly basis. No long term commitments.

Cloud Backups

Cloud storage has been around for a number of years. Backup to cloud has become a viable and necessary option for individuals, SOHO’s and enterprises for a number of reasons.

The high level of cloud adoption in recent years, escalated by the COVID pandemic has made cloud backup the only real option to protect private cloud, Azure, AWS, G-suite and Office 365.

There has also been a marked increase in malware and ransomware attacks with unprecedented levels of sophistication. Ensuring an air gap between production data and backups mitigates risk.

Global Sense offer S3 compatible cloud storage backed by Zadara. The infrastructure is hosted at Xneelo in Samrand. Xneelo provides redundant power, vendor-neutral connectivity, climate control, physical and virtual security and fire protection. The data centre is in close proximity to both Johannesburg and Pretoria. This is a big advantage with ingestion and ex-gestion of large data sets and will reduce the RTO window after a disaster.

Zadara is a market leader in providing managed on-premises S3 object storage, block storage and computes nodes utilising their proprietary software-defined storage technology. This ensures an exceptionally high level of availability and performance.

Many software backup vendors now offer the option to supplement on-site backups with s3 compatible cloud storage. Veeam is the product of choice at Global Sense and is arguably the market leader.
